This project was mainly inspired by how the human body changes in different ways. I decided to focus on the mouth, and the process the average person goes through in regards to teeth. The different stages, from not having teeth, to loosing teeth and getting braces are shown in what seems to be the image’s nighttime sky. The road and car resembles travel, which can only be done with time as a variable. The road consists of the rings of different tree trunks. The rings show how old the tree is, another representation of time.
I decided to do this collage the “old fashioned” way by cutting out the images and arranging them until I was satisfied. I almost worked in reverse, getting my final image from smaller images put together. After I was satisfied with the final result, I scanned the document in a high resolution into the computer.
