I feel that I have so much creativity restrained inside. Often times, I am afraid to speak my mind or express my ideas because of the “norms” of our society. I looked for an artwork that represents my feelings of wanting to be free, to be unbound. When I observe Bengard’s images, I feel this tension building up inside of the person and I feel like they will release from their binds and the creativity flowing through their bodies will explode. Her use of colors and brushstrokes make her piece come alive and her use of digital illustration gives her pieces a futuristic yet ethereal style.
