Space & Materiality: Martian Habitat

Habitat researched: Team Khan-Yates of Jackson, Mississippi.

  1. Once the rover lands, print arms extend from the top of the core and prints a foundation using materials found on the Martian landscape. Then the core will print a second shell inside
  2. The outside is particularly shaped this way to allow natural light to come inside. It also allows for an extra floor to be added if needed. It is fully equipped with necessities that are required for the astronauts stay. It also allows plant life to grow, even if they need special care, the habitat is available to provide the plants with these conditions.
