Loos believed it was a crime to waste time on ornament because it would eventually go out of style, but if a window can be considered a sculptural feature it would contradict his statement. The windows are considered ornamentation because they decorate the space with lighting. Ornament for Loos is differentiating what is necessary and what is not to embellish architecture. In this case, Loos could have had the same type of windows throughout the house, instead, he chooses different types of windows to set the scene of the room.
