Hello, my name is Emily Starobrat. I am a junior in the BFA fashion design program at Parsons.

I often make work inspired by my home, Los Angeles, California. The different textures, movement and colors of the ocean inspire a lot of my work.

I have a fine arts background which I like to combine with my garments through textile and surface development.

Denim especially has been one of my favorite materials to use because of its versatility. The woven white and blue threads allow me to use it as a base to create contrast in different textile manipulations.
