CONDOM

The common condom is made of POLYURETHANE. It is a barrier device to stop the transmission of STDS and reduce the possibility of pregnancy. Polyurethane is a polymer composed of organic units joined by carbamate. Polyurethane is in a wide range of products and is often used as a shiny coating to put over floors. Polyurethane contains isocyanates, a compound that can potentially harm your lungs. Exposure to this product can cause a long list of side effects, including asthma attacks and lung irritation. Furthermore, experts have discovered it can irritate skin and cause heavy breathing after extended exposure. Although this doesn’t apply to the condom usage- however, the polyurethane is a popular choice in material because it is thinner and more durable than other materials. Originally for condom production, rubber was used (1870s) gathered from the rubber trees in asia. While condoms are not biodegradable and are single use items- they do prevent STI and unwanted pregnancies- in turn being more eco friendly ..

CHEETOS

A Cheese-flavored puffed cornmeal snack made by Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Fritos creator Charles Elmer Doolin invented Cheetos in 1948. Cheetos is a cheese-flavored puffed cornmeal snack. While it is part of Pepsico- which is a terrible corporation- Cheetos also have palm oil- which is gathered by burning down the rainforest. Also the complex, salty flavor is a contributing factor to obesity. Cheetos also uses genetically modified corn, which is killing the biodiversity of the nation, destroys habitats, murders the bee population, and drives heirloom crops to extinction.
