Curiosity Journal- Final Work and Process

Final Curiosity Journal Project

The images that I chose from my curiosity journal were the ones that were the most personal to me and resonated with my artistic style. All of these images was a story to me which is why I wrote about them almost like a letter or a story. I decided to put them into a postcard format in which they were addresses as “dear Person” to show the images in a more personal and artistic form. The images were all from different things that I saw during the day. Two of them were from two of my favourite films, of scenes that resonated with me. Some images were of objects that I see everyday in my room like the seashells and the lampshade. The others were of things that I saw outside such as the motorcycle, the cocktail and the candles. These were things I thought were beautiful and things that I thought were interesting. I noticed that common themes that were present in these photos were my personal style, the past, forgotten things and aesthetics. With these themes I constructed my research questions of costumes and past clothing. I made some about jewellery because of my fascination for gold.
