(A description of the concept) sketch

A description of my concept is that the baby sheep represent students who are taking their first steps to achieve their dreams and hope; they are simply growing up and are not yet adults. The sheep have an political message- they represent people who mindlessly follow and emulate anything and everything in name of fame. It is similar to situation of students, they typically follow orders from their parents, teachers, and bosses. many times they just do what they are told and do not think for themselves or question authority because they are concerned with their future and believe that by following those who are knowledgeable will help them achieve success.

my process, I used materials including felting when I made the sheep. I separated the sheep’s body part such as the body, face, eye, legs. Actually this was the first time used felting. I spent a lot of time when I was creating this work.

I planned to install my creation in my school’s front of door because the three sheep are similar to parsons students as I explained earlier. By placing my work at the school’s door, My work will make Parsons students reflect on themselves and lives.

My project is one that is interactive for students like those at parsons

A conclusion)

I enjoyed the time when I was making felting but it was a lot of work. I hope that students will enjoy my work as well reflect on it’s underlying meaning for them as students.
