Mask

 

For my mask, I was inspired by Kaonashi, who has two types of personalities. On the outside Kaonashi looks very scary and angry, however deep down in his heart, he is kind especially with his friend (Sen). I noticed this in Times Square as well here; people dress up as different characters. Outside they may look cute or scary but after removing the mask, they can be quite different. Also think of the homeless people. Their outward appearance looks dangerous or harmful but inside they can be very warm or hopeful. This influenced me to make my mask about personality. The yellow (inside) mask represents a warm heart with a smiling and comfortable emotion. Meanwhile, the black (outside) symbolizes a monster darkness and fear. I want to show that people, including my self, can have very different personalities, like the mask.
