Week 9 & 10 — Process Documentation: Updated the prompts and the addition of written and visual documentation

Feedback on Original Prompts

During my first two rounds of user testing I found that prompts specific to childhood were the most popular with participants. These prompts often lead to the most fruitful discussion. There were several prompts that were not utilized or which received feedback that they were challenging to relate to.

Feedback on Newly Revised Cards

In testing I found a unique behavior, that people and specifically female testing participants valued making bracelets for other people!

It was important to me to add this prompt in to testing and to iterate on the language of the cards so that they would feel relatable at a glance to participants.

Addition of written documentation

I’ve added in a final step which is written and film documentation.

The written documentation is to get a sense of how people have been impacted as they have navigated through the experience and is going to be a document that lives on the final digital output.

I’ll also be photographing participants with their beads as an analog way to capture this moment and experience.

User Testing

I plan to test how these prompts impact the user testing experience with participants.  Through research I want to identify how the revised prompts in addition to the improved materials impact people as they navigate through the workshop experience.
