Initially I wanted to do a photoshoot to show my skills + the way I can edit pictures. I planned to use these picture to create a collage. Even though these picture were taken in different days, it did not look like a sequence to me. I didn’t see or feel the story line. I like these pictures a lot, the seem very vintage and authentic to me. I made them grainer than what I usually go for, this effect makes it look as if it was taken on film camera.
I decided to think of an activity that has a progression to it. I invited 2 brothers to skate. I told them to forget about my presence, just do what they would usually do. They were skating for about 3 hours. I took pictures in the first 2o minutes and the last 20 minutes. You can clearly see the  sequence and the element of time to these shoot and that is why I think these pictures are successful. As you can see, some of the pictures are staged, but I feel that what gives this series a structured look to it.
