Sustainable Systems, Systems thinking, week 3

        •  I  really enjoyed the process of creating your own natural watercolour. It is great that the initial sustainable way of producing the colour  is still being practiced by people today although on a smaller scale. It was interesting to learn how the process works. I do not think that people will ever switch back to natural dyes on the grand scheme of things as it does not have the elements that majority of the people in 21t century care about: time a.k.a how long does it take to go through the whole process from picking a flower to painting with it; quantity a.k.a all the effort for such a tiny amount of paint. I am not going to get into the psychology of it all, but unfortunately humans value smaller quantities less for numerous of reasons, and there for there is aways the need to go bigger.

        • Anthropocene- the age or era of the planet where human’s behaviour and choices made a big impact on the environment and climate.  As far as the practises that might be sustainable, I am not sure. I have been thinking a lot about film photography and how wasteful it is with all the chemicals, paper and film rolls. I already do the things I can to be less wasteful, however I want to get deeper in it to see what I can do.
        • It was a little confusing when it came to finding the library and it ended up looking the opposite of what I expected. I actually enjoyed the space a lot. The way it is built allows you to co-exist in that environment. It gently guides you around so that you can see all the materials in your own pace. It was useful to see the different materials and how they can be used in  more sustainable ways.
