In first version of my portable pocket ashtray, I created a larger shaped rectangle with a top that would come off of the product completely and open up to compartments for each individual cigarette butt.
I later created a slide out version for the ashtray because it is more accessible for on-the-go use. Also, I used sand as the inside material to keep the cigarette-butt from burning. I tested this shape with two models, but through critiques realized that this shape was too bulky for holding cigarette butts and for on-the-go use.
After the critique, I created a slimmer version of the ashtray for easy on-the-go access. This version include the keychain, but I created different shapes of this version as well. One is slim-fit for an easy fit in a back pocket, geared towards men who do not use purses. The keychain one can be geared towards either gender because it easily fits on backpacks as well as a purse. The other fit is easy to pop into a purse for on-the-go use.
