I began with a 1:2 scale drawing of a simple steel pencil case. I was not too inspired as there was not much detail that I can choose from to begin my transformed object.
I sketched two basic objects: a pair of sunglasses and a hat. I did not have any inspiration to create and I thought that I would have more inspiration once I have come into contact with the actual materials.
Meanwhile, I tried to change the object that I am looking at for inspiration but I was still not inspired.

The materials that I have chosen was completely different from what I have expected. Instead of going with the more malleable materials, I picked materials that were taken from the nature.

I decided to make some sort of jewellery display from the materials that I have chosen. Unfortunately, it did not work out as I wished it would as it was difficult to put all the materials together and I did not have the right equipments. Therefore, I just experimented around with the materials with anything that works.

Instead of a jewelry display, the object ended up being a decorative piece. The piece was originally created to hang horizontally (with the circle of dried stems lying flat to eye level) as it was inspired by a crib toy. However, it was more difficult to hang the object and therefore it is displayed vertically but both displays works.
Reflection
This project is a very creative approach. Unfortunately, I think that I did not approach this project very well and I think that I could have done better. I think that the main reason that I was not satisfied with this project was that I was really demotivated. In order to improve, I think I need to find more inspirations to get motivated.
