POLYHEDRON-Opened Cell(Eric Cheng)

POLYHEDRON (Opened Cell)

The opened cell polyhedron was made of bristol paper. It was the combination of 6 opened cell squares (2 inches*2 inches) and 6 opened cell hexagons (side length 2 inches). Bristol paper was firstly cut into 12 slides with 1 inches wide and 12 inches length(hexagon)/ 8 inches length(square). Scoring the middle line of each paper slide vertically and cut half side of paper slides with 2 inches length and only score the other half side of paper with same 2 inches length. Folded the paper slide by the score lines and left the cut parts for glue. After making total of 12 opened cell squares and 6 opened cell hexagons that were perfectly fit each other (attempt based), using glue or stapler to connect them together and get the shape of opened cell polyhedron.
