I visited three different locations of through out the city. The first photo is James Gord0n Bennett Memorial at Herald Square. The reason I chose to visit this sculpture is because of the details in the fabrics the artist portrayed.
The second sculpture is at the New York Public Library the Truth fountain has a infinity pool and is extremely preserved marble I was drawn to this because it reminded me of the sarcophagus itself. It resembles B.C. Greek artifact sculptures.
The third is actually done by an Italian artist. It is titled The Super Hero and is all marble as well. The modern approach to this was the reason why I chose to visit this space at Bryant Park. There isn’t much going on in the detail but the pleasure is all in the form for me.
