For this project, the objective was to create a digital gersaille from our high contrast analog charcoal drawing. Using Photoshop, we traced the cinderblock we had drawn using selection tools to create each layer accurately. Each plane was lined up according to the indicating horizon line. Once the layers had been made and filled with the accurate value, we chose a texture to add on top from a selection of 35 images we previously shot. The texture was added on top of the cinderblock’s faces and an additional layer of curves was used as a finishing touch.
