The New Bullet

Mission Statement:
Inspired by everything we have talked about and studied throughout the semester in terms of ways to better systems and decided to work with a system of information: bulletin boards. We all remember the infamous cork boards that roam high schools and colleges with different information for either students or professors. In the New School University, we use bulletin boards for a range of different information including upcoming events, ads for models/actors or even selling a couch or subletting an apartment. My final project is a website that categorizes the advertisement in bulletin boards to facilitate the process for both the seller and the buyer or in the case of events, so that students can find out about events more easily. I am a meticulous observer and I tend to wander a lot. I have looked at the bulletin board in detail many times without even hoping to find anything specific. After I realized that not everyone was like me, and that in a fast paced environment like the one at The New School people are always coming and going, never lingering, I thought it was a shame that such important space went unnoticed. Same story with displayed student art work. In a small hallway in 2 West 13th street building, numerous exemplary first year pieces are crammed together in “display.” It is impossible to appreciate anything in such environment. I hope that this website fosters creativity and collectivity in New School students. I hope that someone who lives in room 9c in Stuyvesant dorms and someone who lives in 5L in Loeb hall will become friends through conversations about each others’ works. This is how The New Bullet was born.

I made this PR material that can be posted on any social media but also can easily be printed and posted around the University Center.
