Bridge Project 3: Multiple Perspectives

This project was done in groups and consisted of two parts.  The first was to create a visual narrative that tells the story of a character who uses a tool box.  In this tool box must be the tools invented by each person in a group. This tool box and the tools must be used by the character to overcome some sort of obstacle.  The second part of the project was to physically make the tool box that is used by your character in the narrative.  The tool box must be able to fit all of the tools of the group members.  The tool box must also visually represent what what happens in the narrative.

For part one, my group and I decided to tell our narrative in the form of a Zine/Comic book.  Our narrative was about a Grandma, grandson, and granddaughter fighting off aliens during an alien apocalypse in NYC. The characters each have their own tool which they use at some point in the story to fight off the aliens.

For our physical box, we decided to make it a backpack with shelves on the inside as you can see in the prototype below:

Our final tool box was constructed with foam board, a Pollster duffle bag, paper fasteners, thin cardboard, and silver duck tape.
