- Fashion throughout time
Fashion was used to symbolize ideals of class and gender. Women used to dress with these over the top extravagant dresses and accessories to show off their style and wealth. The dresses had a tight corset that caused people’s attention to be on the small waist a woman was supposed to have. Fashion meant class and it defined what a true gentleman should look like. Over time, one can see how fashion has changed dramatically. Now, girls wear clothing that shows their legs and even stomachs. The clothing in style is the less conservative. Now there are completely different things that are seen as trendy. People usually wear comfortable clothing on a day-to-day basis, not something complicated and heavy.
- Time Management
One thing I have always been bad at is tie management. There are so many distractions around you every day that it is hard to focus on one thing and get it done fast. Many people struggle with time management; they don’t notice how fast time goes by as you sit there doing nothing. The definition of time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity.
- Interior Design
The style and idea of interior design has changed a lot through time. Before, there was no personality in the interior of houses. It was just somewhere people lived. In the past 50 years, décor has changed dramatically. There is now personality, technologies, and different elegances that come with interior design. There are many trends and different styles that people have developed through time. The more fabrics and trends that come out, the more people want to get. When you walk into a person’s home for the first time, you can see the type of person they are by what is in their homes and the décor of it. People want the newest and coolest things that are developed. Interior spaces have become really modern, when back then there would only be a bed and table to eat.
- Humans
As time goes by, humans become older and wiser. When you are a child your mentality and thoughts are really pure and innocent. As a person grows, their mentality changes and develops. Over time ones personality gets developed depending on your environment and how you are brought up. Hopefully, the older you are the wiser you get. After living a full life one get knowledgeable and passes it down to the younger generations.
1. Time in the City
Being from Miami, it has taken a while for me to get used to the New York life styles. In New York the days seem to be really short. Everything is really fast pace. In Miami it is not as chaotic. My value of time as I go through my day has changed. The Miami culture is much more relaxed and laidback. As I walk the streets of New York I see how every person is in a rush or pressured by time.
