The images presented above create my final drawing and imaging series project. As throughout the semester I really enjoyed observational model drawings I decided to base my final project around the theme of nudity creating a series of drawings using my favourite art medium – charcoal. The concept behind this series is to evoke an interaction with the viewers. I wanted to create something that isn’t obvious at first sight. Something you have to look at for a longer while to actually see it. To achieve that I used black as a dominant colour , leaving out very little white areas. I am very pleased that despite practically covering up almost the whole page with black, black is still the colour creating and defining the shape of the bodies.
