During our trip to Monoprix I had quite a clear idea of what objects I wanted to work with. I straight away went to the womens lingerie section. The object that immediately struck my attention were the control briefs. I found it interesting that you can buy briefs for 16 euros at Monopix. I don’t quite get why someone would buy briefs for this price at Monoprix as for a little more money you can easily get briefs from brands that specialise in producing lingerie.
I then tried manipulating them into other spaces in the store. I placed them in the meat section as I wanted to contrast the humans body corporeality with some kind of raw grocery store images.
