Preliminary Sketches for Shoe-to-Animal final project

I began by loosley drawing the shoe, to become more familiar with how it looks. Then, I drew a hippopotamus from a photo online, and lastly I began to integrate the two, although I found that it helped to continue going back to the photograph of the hippo for ideas.
