The following is two images portraying photographic interventions, one is an expansion and the other a concealment.
The two photographs I used were adhere to a 18″x24″ mixed media paper.
The photographic concealment was created with black stripes of paper, stripes of brown paper, India Ink and artist tape.
Here, I tried to conceal a picture taken a few years ago by me. The picture, for me, presents my past and a friendship that is no longer there. The stripes of black, brown and white are the present concealing the past.
The photographic expansion was created via India Ink and a Sharpie pen.
Here, I tried to expand the room in the photograph with ink, while turning the photograph into a photograph in the new piece.
