My name is Fanny Wandel, and I’m a photography major at Parsons. Born in Manila to Danish parents,  I’ve spent my life as a ‘modern-day gypsy’, as my mom would say, following my parents around to all corners of the earth, and art has been one of the only constants throughout. Still, I would call myself a New Yorker any day of the week. While at Parsons, I want to improve my skills as a photographer, and simultaneously broaden my horizons within the arts, both in terms of subject and media. I wish to apply my multi-cultural background to my research and work. Ideally, I’d like a job within fashion photography, leaving room for my passion which is pursuing photojournalism.
