In the game The Floor Is Lava, players must pretend that the floor is made of lava or some other dangerous substance and move from one side of the room to the other without touching the floor.
If any part of a player’s body touches the floor, they will have fallen into the lava and died, and are therefore out of the game.
Usually, players will get across the room by carefully climbing on the room’s furniture and on any part of the room above ground, such as chairs, couches, tables, and pillows. Players may move furniture in order to transport themselves to the next piece of furniture as long as they do not touch the floor.
The players who reach the other side of the room without touching the ground win the game.
