It’s about fashion-forecast. Bringing things that are popular in the past and make a combination of the iconic styles in 80s.
80’s Decadent’s style suit. I got a lot of inspiration from listening to musics, especially from the band—Hyukoh. They play soft rock musics, some of them are about genders which influenced me a lot. The picture above is the photo of the Hyukoh, so I want to make something born from their musics.
hippies’s style. One is always not enough, I want to incorporate the major fashion style from 80s, even though people hate hippies today I still think it is important as a part of the fashion cycle, I think its pattern would works really well with the suit, I want create something new out of the past cultures.
So my design was a oversize suit that has chains on it instead of buttons.

I started with some lose fabrics with some vintage looking patterns on it , its for the over the over sized suit jacket.
However, during the process I found that it is too challenging for me to make suit jacket and a pants, on the other hand, I found men’s wear is not my thing, it has less curves and transitions, it just stopped being interesting to me during the process. So instead of making myself a suit, I changed my final project into a gift to my girlfriend, its a sleeping dress, and each pieces are joined by French seams, so there won’t be extra fabrics scratching the body. I succeeded in making it light weight and comfortable.
