1.In Thesis 2 I feel that I am making the most progress with:
User Testing! I have never user tested often in the past, which is really a shame. I realized how helpful user feedback is in terms of project planning and development. The users help me to align my progress with the project goal.
2.I feel that need more assistance with:
Closing the ideation phrase and starts with the making. The major obstacle that I have been facing is deciding on the set on user interaction. And the challenge of how might I optimal the information translation from the subject matter to the audiences, while keeping the interaction engaging?
3.Write a short paragraph: in the first five weeks of Thesis 2 I discovered/learned…….
In the first five weeks of thesis I learned the importance of user feedback. My past has always leans towards new media art instead of user experience design. For the thesis project, where I am developing a education tool, the usability aspect has become the major focus of the interface. I have shifted usability to the top of my priority list for the development process from now on. The usability studies has been making progress from different iterations of prototype that i presented to users. The feedback has been integrated into the next iteration of prototype.
4.Comments on the studio? What is working or not working for you?
It is going quiet good, the studio provides me some guiding frameworks and useful tools while not being manipulative of my project directions. Kudos for Brad and Anezka so far.
