Drawing/Imaging – Written Reflection

Ahmrii Johnson

As I come into the second semester of my first year enrolled in college, an invigorating sensation of refreshed mental, physical, and spiritual energy has allowed me to predict goals to accomplish on the onset of the semester and each of my classes. Therefore, in light of this renewed energy I plan to approach all of my classes, including Drawing and Imaging: Places + Things, with the utmost determination to complete projects with dutiful creativity and skill. After putting in diligent effort to this course I hope to receive a new set of skill that I can apply to my major in Fashion Design. This course should develop my application of a space’s characteristics (determined by anything) to the art I make that will interact with said space. In addition, this understanding of a place’s influence on the things that take up its space will serve to increases the efficiency of an innovation that I can create for a certain place. This, as a part of the entirety of my college experience, will also serve to round my experience in working, developing, and conceptualizing on various projects with diverse focuses. Moreover, this course will provide a substantial experience with a cooperative and collaborative group of peers. In order to engage the class I will provide encouragement for individuality, constructive criticism, and genuine interest in the concept of their work.
