Glove Structure/Installation

In the beginning of this project we were assigned to build a structure around a glove. Once again, an iterative structure that was different on all sides, that avoided the simple repeating of shapes or extrusion, and that did not have a base or roof of any kind. We were not allowed to build inside of the glove either. From here, we were to build 2-3 of these structures and fit them together somehow to create a further complex structure. And finally, we were to implement this into the University Center as an installation piece. It had to house a space in which a person could lay or sit. My structure came out to be a horizontal structure sitting close to the ground. It has a movement growing from a tunnel-like beginning, extending into larger, more open spaces that result in a lounging area. My two structures were placed side by side, creating negative space in between.
