This active listening activity was definitely one that forces the listener and the interviewed to contemplate on their own work while putting themselves in a different perspective by observing other work. It was like exposing your mind to new thoughts and perspectives that could possibly create or influence a new of thought in our mind. It was a mind-boggling process to do an elevator pitch for the research because you have to condense and organize an entire slew of thoughts and emotions together to create a 1-minute pitch. An insight I gained from this research and this activity was certainty, because during the process of condensing your thoughts about your research, you throw away ideas and views that don’t really stick with you. It is almost like eliminating the unnecessary elements that just create weight while moving forward. In conclusion I thought that it was a great way to reflect, organize, and contemplate on the approach I wish to take during this project.
