This week we analyzed data from the United States census about toilet access in different parts of the country. What we found was Connecticut has the highest rate of toilet access. This can be supported by the fact that their median income is high compared to other states, meaning that residents are wealthier. The median income of people with toilets in the state is $54,800, while the median income of people without toilets in $27,000. Alaska has the lowest rate of toilet access. This is supported by the fact that the state has a very high percentage of residents on food stamps. The ratio of people on food stamps to people not on food stamps is about 200,570:308,571.
The region with the highest access to toilets is the West, while the region with the lowest access is the midwest. This is most likely because incomes in the west are generally higher, with a low cost of living. Though the cost of living is not high in the midwest the incomes are not as high, causing residents not being able to afford many things.
