Studio Project
I’m thinking of creating a series of nudes. I want this series to explore many body types. The idea is that in the United States, a size 8 is considered to be plus size. But, a size 8 would mean that a size 29 waist is considered to be heavy or above average by the fashion industry. I would like to dive into the psychology around modeling and how these women’s bodies are suffering and are being shamed for not taking care of themselves properly. I want to draw the emotion, the pain and the bullying.
Seminar Project
My seminar project was focused on women’s dress codes in the work place. I discussed the issues with companies such as Fox News, Hooters, White House and NFL. I wanted to focus on how these women are being bullied into committing sexual acts in exchange for raises and / or better jobs as well as how they are being forced to dress a certain way for a male pleasure.
