This collage represents the African proverb “the fool speaks, the wise man listens”. In Africa, in order to prove themselves innocent, the accused must sing out their innocence to the judge. I’ve represented the judge, or the wise man, as the tree and the instruments depict the fool who tries to convince the wise tree of his innocence.
