Over the past week, especially the past few days, I’ve tried to focus on observing and documenting as many sensory details from the world around me as possible. I’ve recorded ten seconds of some of my commute as well as ten second clips of rain in different locations on my walk home one night. I’ve included collected objects, mostly from the street but some, such as the fabric, receipt and lightbulb, from me. Finally, I took note of realizations I had, interesting phrases I saw, and things I experienced, through writing. All of this, in addition to my 3 drawings, are what I’ve collected during my first week of the “What I Saw, Dreamt and Remembered” project.
