Process
I had a lot of ideas while brainstorming, but I wasn’t willing to put forth the effort required to research any of them.
While I was in the library, the word “Hats” was written in appealing font on the spine of a book. I decided to look into researching hats. This came naturally so I went with it.
After researching the history of hats, I looked at how hats are worn today in Tokyo. Those visuals helped me brainstorm potential future uses pretty effortlessly. I wrote down all my ideas and chose three that seemed like natural progressions of each other.
