SCRIPT
A quiet night in the midst of New York, its 12 AM two students prepare themselves for their upcoming midterms within the University Center. It is almost empty, and there is not much the students can do.
LEONARD
I honestly don’t feel like I’m succeeding in this course. The midterm assessment is in a day!
HALEY
Leonard come on. So far your last score has been a 96 out of a 100. You can pull this off.
LEONARD
That’s because I decided to take some time to revise. This workload has been killing me.
Haley patts Leonard on the back before she leaves back to her dorm.
HALEY
Listen, you got this. I’m gonna have to head back home. My head’s been spinning for the past couple of weeks.
Haley walks away, while Leonard looks back in concern. He’s frightened not only by the midterm assessment, but the emptiness of the very halls that were once filled by daylight.
LEONARD
There really isn’t much to do in this shithole of a place. I’m probably gonna end up failing in the next week. These damn papers aren’t going to fill themselves with ink.
Leonard’s table begins to gradually become a total mess of paperwork and revision. He begins to overthink as he looks around the Center.
LEONARD
Am I actually good enough to be here? Why did I do this to myself? I just.. Hate how empty this place can get. If only there was some energy I’d actually do some shit.
Leonard oversleeps, and wakes up at 4 AM. The University Center is still empty, and his anxiety begins to spike.
LEONARD
God damn it! There’s literally no benefit of being alone is there!? Might as well die. Or be reincarnated as a turtle or some shit!
