Outfit Exercise

By far, the most important lesson that I learned from our in-class exercise was how much you can learn about someone simply but the clothing that they wear. One of the more apparent aspects you can learn about someone is the amount of wealth that they have and whether or not they decide to flaunt their wealth. For example, one of my classmates wore designer clothing that was quite flashy, while another student wore non-designer clothing but still had luxurious accessories. Another thing I learned about one’s fashion is about the colors that they wear and what that can say about their personality. From what I noticed, the students who wore loud colors tended to be more charismatic and talkative. While, the students that wore more subtle colors had a more relaxed personality and were not as extroverted as those that chose to wear brighter colors. Overall, participating in this exercise really taught me important clothing is in regards to the person wearing it. One’s fashion can depict who they are as a person, what their personality is like, and even what their social life is like. This exercise really changed the way that I look at the fashion people choose to wear.
