City Sunset Photos: The concept behind this project was to capture the social classes that there are in the city and in the world. The city is representative of a crowd of people in a sense, where class is determined by shine, much like our own society. I tried to get the lights and darks to be very apparent so that theres juxtaposition between the two.

The concept for my project is to capture the evolution of peoples emotions. I’m planning on taking a series of pictures while approaching random people on the streets and capture them as they go from content to angry. I’m anticipating that most people will get angry is a random person is taking a bunch of pictures of them so it will be interesting to see different peoples reactions. When the pictures come out I’m going to put them all side by side so it looks like a continuous series.

Streetwise was a very enjoyable film to watch. I twas interesting to see so clear into the lives of homeless kids. Not only did it show us their lifestyle, but also the culture back then. The documentary was put together very well with only b role, and it kept me interested the entire time. I think you showed us this so we could have our eyes opened to another side of life while at the same time showing us an example of a good documentary.

 

I think this photograph is successful because of it’s real life feel. The photographer captures this candid moment where people are doing what they do and it shows the culture and lifestyle of these people. He doesn’t really use many compositional elements besides good framing. His concept was to capture the moment in a way where we feel like were actually there.

This picture really well framed, and the subject of the photo is centered. The photographer most likely wanted to just capture the beauty of animals in their natural habitat, but also show the habitat as beautiful too. The lighting is perfect and shadows of the plants around the zebra look cool.

This picture shows great juxtaposition between the car and the city. You can tell the person sleeping next to the car has no shelter or anything and right next to him in the same picture is a bunch of shelter. The concept was probably to show a simple lifestyle and then the big city where people are busy and doing things.
