self portrait

shit-

My self portrait i wanted to show that how i am everywhere on the internet so i took a picture of me in 4 mirrors and i put them on top of each other to add some thickness to the photo. But in most of the photos i covered my face because i wanted to show the audience how i don’t really like my photo getting taken.

C, I

When i went to Coney Island i really got inspired by the different types of people because there was so many different types of people and they were all so happy. I went up to 3 people that i didn’t know and i asked if i could take there photo. This is really important because it really wins confidant and it really feels good when you go up and say if you can take a photo because your proud of it

Street Wise Review

i really got inspired by “street wise” because of the different types of camera angles and the way they shot it. I really felt sympathy for the kids in the movie because they really felt how they lived by just watching it. The director did a really good job with this because the way the director filmed it really catches the audiences eye and really makes the audience feel like there in the movie and in the action.

Concept Proposal

For my final project i want to photograph my friend (James) with a mask and a hat. I want to do this because i want to photograph my friend James that is afraid of showing his whole face, so i want to do a project on hiding and showing. At first i want to photograph (James) with a mask and hat really afraid and then by the end i want to show his whole face to show and show everyone the really him. I want to photograph him in a really grainy dirty kinda of way with a skater street look

When i took this photo i wanted to get it right down the middle to get both sides of the buss in. So i went into photoshop and i changed and added some curves,brightness/contrast, and some grain. I added these layers to add a older, film look because that is what Robert Frank used and he really inspired me.

When i took this photo into photoshop i didn’t add a lot of layers because i didn’t think it needed much added to it, all i added was grain and a bit of curves. I added little bit of contrast to make the dark line more visible. I also cropped it on the left so i got less of the peoples hands in and got right in the baby face for more detail.

I took this photo from the back of the head so its kind of a mystery. I also want to get a shallow depth of field but the background i visible. I wanted to get more of the bridge in the photo so i went more behind him to get a wider field of vision. I also added a little bit of grain to make it more of a film effect.

I really like this reflection shot with the flash of light with the slow shutter. I wanted to get this because it shows a really old effect especially with the grain and the contrast and brightness i added.

This is one of my favourite photos because of the positioning of the photo and how the person is very natural and i really find it natural because he didn’t know i was taking the photo with shows how natural. I went into photoshop and added just some grain so it looks more like it was taken on film and has a old rustic effect.

In this photo i wanted to get the reflection of the black and white crossings in her glasses so i positioned her to the side of them and focused on the lines. I also didn’t go to a extreme closeup because i still wanted to get the nice shallow depth of field being her.

Homework 3

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 19.24.26

This is one of my favourite photos of all time because of the framing and how the photographer takes it so it messes with the audiences eyes. I like how it starts off with a few kids and as it goes up it gets more crowded. He photographed it in a way that you can’t tell if its going up or down. This is a point of view shot, you can tell as the photographer took this shot straight up.

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 19.24.43

I really find this one interesting  because if the photographer took it one second sooner or later it wouldn’t make this photo as interesting because there would of been a splash by his feet and made his shadow cloudy. This photo consists of shallow depth of field and extreme light and shadow. This photo is also taken from a bit higher than view point.

I really find this one interesting and different to all other photos because of the framing and the shadow use that the photographer used. You can tell that the main object (the girl) is laying down  and the face is in focus and here breast is out of focus witch i find interesting because most of the time in these photos the breast is in focus and the rest is out of focus. Also the light on her face is really well used because it creates extreme light and shadow. This photo is taken from a low point shooting up.

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 19.25.22This shot consists of extreme light and shadow and i really like this one because it also has repetitive shapes and goes on for a long time. But they all point and go in the same direction, which is up. This photo also consists of shallow depth of field, you can tell because the bottom part is in focus and as you look up to the top it starts to go blurry and out of fucus.

This is also one of my all time best photos, because it consists of shallow depth of field, great example of it. It also consists of extreme light and shadow with her white outfit and the rest of the photo. This also has the rule of thirds it is more in the left hand corner and it looks like she has her hands up to god so if this photo was taken a second later the photographer wouldn’t have got her hand with her lips praying to god.

Lost Book Found

  1. When i watched Lost Book Found i saw that it was a sad film. I could tell by the music and the way film maker was talking during it.
  2. While he was making this he tried a lot of different stuff and different camera angles that he didn’t know what and would not work so he experimented by trying out different camera angles and different objects together.
  3. I really found this Documentary/film really interesting and how the layout of it. I really found it more interesting how he worked alone because that means he used all his own ideas, but working alone means that you have to criticize your own work to make it better, working with someone else can be helpful but also not because you both have to like the footage and what the other person has done. I personally like working alone because that means i can do more experimental and its all my own work and thats what i liked about this documentary/film.
  4. You could straight away that it was going to be sad because of the voice of the voice over how it was all one tone. Also the camera movement some were fast and some were slow witch gives a sad feel for the audience. Also the effects some black and white and some were colour witch also gives a feel that its sad and depressing and makes the audience feel sympathy for him. Also the people that the director filmed were all looking away from the camera and looking down witch also gives a feel of sadness.
