Making Kombucha

We had the opportunity to make Kombucha leather as a class assignment. We did all the process with a kombucha leather kit. One of the problems I encountered was transporting the kombucha from my apartment to the making center, a little of the liquid spilled on the process. Our kombucha stayed for two weeks on the tray before we put it in the wood. So we had to look for the little pieces of kombucha that were floating because our kombucha did not become a sheet instead as little pieces. This is a project I would love to keep experimenting with to hopefully create backpacks. I believe there are infinite things we can create with this leather that can replace very unsustainable objects that we have. I would love to create bags, handbags, backpacks and clothing.
