Artist Statement:

For my Plaster Hybrid project I decided to make a hand with fingers growing out of it. I decided to create this piece as a way to represent growth and as a way to depict a figure growing out of itself. The way this body hybrid looks is very tree/plant like. The colors are very organic and flesh-like and nature related colors which also are a part of my representation of an organic body. Essentially I wanted to show an expansion of a body part seen in a different aspect.
