This week was Thanksgiving, so I wasn’t in town to use the Wacom Cintiq tablets in the graphics lab to digitally draw the water bubbles. Dan showed me how to use them this week and how to draw in Photoshop, which I still am trying to figure out, but I’m getting the hang of it.
I spent the week figuring out how to draw digitally, which I’ve never done until now, and I’ve had to draw everything with only the trackpad of my laptop since I didn’t have access to a tablet while I was away. I’m also not used to drawing in color in general, so that’s been an added challenge.
This coming week, I am planning to finish drawing this entire bubble sequence digitally and animating it, and I’ll also figure out the background for the animation, since I’ll be drawing that as well. The only help I need (as far as I know) is to just chat with Dan and Bambou to make sure everything is going in the correct direction, and I need to see if the colors I’ve chosen for the bubbles will be visible enough once everything is combined into the final animation.
