Picasso Playing Cards

For this assignment, I created playing cards as a trap for Pablo Picasso. Each face card contains one of his pieces of work and is an ode to his many different eras. For starters, the joker card contains a painting from his rose period where he commonly drew jokers and jesters. The jack is one of Picasso’s work from his blue period while he battled depression. The queen is his experimental phase with cubism while the king is after Picasso mastered his skill on cubism. The burned number cards are meant to symbolize the many works Picasso had burned while trying to stay warm as a poor man.
