It’s crazy because in Turkey we hardly ever wrote essays so I only started proper essays when I came to America. I would struggle so much because I never knew where to start, how to start and how to make it all make sense. That’s when outlines came to my rescue. Outlines help me organize my thoughts and discover important point I need to make. With an outline, it becomes easier to see where what goes and how I should divide my information. Otherwise, I would create a jumbled mess that wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever. I can prepare from ahead which quotes I want to use so I can plan how I will incorporate them in my essay. I can jot down notes and ideas I want to touch on later on. Overall, it’s an helpful tool that eases the writing process.
