– The meaning behind this cross gender costume that I created is to show how there are two different sides of me. (outfit-wise) One being the ordinary guy (wearing a shirt with shorts, ) the other one being a girly guy wearing women’s outfit. I wanted to show people how I am able to wear both genders outfits and create this cross gender look and portray two different identities.
When I think of Pride, the color of the rainbow must be the first thing that pops up to my head. The wing symbolizes how I was able to set myself free of being my true self and knowing that by wearing this wing, it will take me to places where I get to set myself free and find my own identity within our society.
In my generation (especially during the teenage years) social medias has becoming a huge part of our lives. The reason behind this t-shirt design that I created is to show how teenagers now a days are addicted to social medias. Its like something that they just can’t live without. It’s kind of scary but at the same time there are pros and cons about using the new technology.
