After researching different aspects of Russian culture I came across a movement called Russian Constructivism. In particular two posters caught my eye for the powerful images they portrayed. The movement focused on minimalistic, abstractive and geometric art. I incorporated elements of the two posters into my design. My mask has three main elements, the fist, the glasses, and the geometrical lines over the mouth. The mask depicts workers power, intellectualism and loyalty to the state. Even in minimalistic form art can deliver powerful images and messages. In Russia posters were used to promote loyalty and obedience to the state.
