Blindfold

Jeanell and I wanted our audience to experience what we did when we were walking to the park with earplugs in and then sitting on a bench with our eyes closed. The first part of the performance with colored lights represents the walk. We both noticed how bright the colors were so we decided to incorporate that into our performance. Then there is a part where you can only see white lights and hear different sounds. That represents the time we spent with our eyes closed at a park. We didn’t have a blindfold on so we could see a bright sunlight and when people were walking in front of us we saw the sunlight flickering. We  showed that action through us walking behind the curtain during the performance. We also tried to incorporate all the sounds we heard, so we included the sound of water, the drilling and the sound of the street.
