Pecking wood

When people interact with my project I want them to concentrate on the sound and how it makes them feel and not necessarily the visual aspects of the piece. I also want to show how the sound can be affected just by movement and I was interested in exploring new shapes and new ways of connecting wood. The natural sound of three wooden balls inside of the circle, which is made out of the same material, have a calming effect. The interactive aspect of this piece makes the audience engage more with it. When the balls are moving inside of the construction they create a sound of birds pecking tall trees in a forest on a chilly summer day after it has stopped raining.
