RE-DESIGN:
PROCESS:
REFLECTION:
The title of the project is evil’s bouquet. It was a one-piece dress and I change it into a bride’s bouquet. And the function of the bouquet is not only a decoration for a wedding, but also a symbol of good luck. And I change the dress completely so everything is the redesign part and the form also changed completely. This dress was made of cotton and I bought it from bacon’s closet. Because a bouquet is much smaller than a dress, there are so many fabrics left. But I do not need the extra fabrics so there is no repurpose. I spent 20 dollar buying that dress and no other extra fees. And I spend about eight to night hours doing this project. I spent most of time sewing because all the sewing machine that I know how to use are all checked out and I have to use another type of sewing machine. Getting to know a new sewing machine takes time. My inspiration from the FIT museum is that there were so many dress like wedding dress at that show. I enjoy taking apart the garment because I can explore the construction of the garment. And because when the garment was taken apart completely, I can not tell the original look of it, I decided to do something that is completely different from the original form and function. I learn that fabric and thread can make a perfect garment by sewing them together. Like I said, I enjoy taking apart the garment. The most challenging part is using the sewing machine because I have never used it before. I am satisfied with the final look of my project. I like the color, the form and the meaning. I learn that sometimes difficulties push me to learn new skills because I learned how to use a new type of sewing machine all by myself.
